For Families? Tahiti has lots to offer families of all ages and sizes. Papeete and the areas around the island have a wide variety of safe and fun activities for children.Some resorts have large swimming pools, many with sandy bottoms, there are both white and black sand beaches with calm and shallow waters (great for snorkelling). Consider family-sized "4 by 4" vehicles suitable for exploring with the whole family, guided tours with local naturalists & music and dance events. There are nightly outings along Papeete waterfront where "roulottes" offer fun food and dessert experiences along side local families.
