Huahine's lagoon is famous for exploration by jetski.
Few days in a lifetime could compare to one spent hopping from beach
to beach aboard your own craft. The shallow and calm waters, large
secluded bays and quiet shores give couples the feeling of true freedom
and adventure. Guided tours are available complete with frequent stops
to picnic on your own private beach or jump in the calm waters
|
The Garden Isle is
probably how you will remember Huahine. Wander its lush forests, and
gaze up into the steep canyon rises. Stare into the crystal clear
waters of the mesmerizing lagoon that surround the two islands. That's
right two islands for twice the beauty and twice the fun. Huahine
Nui and Huahine Iti together have been little touched by the modern
World. Therefore visitors receive a warm welcome and leave the island
feeling a new sense of warmth and fellowship. The rich soil is mother
to vanilla, melons, and bananas.

Huahine Islands
|
"... the cross-island
road gives you a chance to admire the opulence of the taro and vanilla
plantations before arriving at Fitii, a village nestled at the head
of a bay..." |
The name Hermosa was
given to the island in 1769 by famous Captain Cook. It means beautiful
in Spanish and boy is that an understatement. Islanders believe
the God Hiro cut the island in half with his canoe.

| The quiet roads and waters around
Huahine are perfect for leisurely exploration. By boat or jetski,
the lagoon and bays greet you as you glide over the bright waters
with stops anywhere along the way for snorkeling. By car or bus tour,
the scenic roads wind through verdant forests and up to breathtaking
vistas. |

It is so easy to fill the day with visits to seven villages,
walks among historical sights, and stops at scenic beaches and
fruit stands along the way.

Unique experiences for couples include sunset sails, private
tours, and picnic reached by Jetski.
