There are many dive sites around TahitiTahiti is like two islands combined, with a narrowtrack of land joining the two. Tahiti Nui is the larger and more prominent with a road that goes right around the island. Tahiti Iti is the smaller and has roads into and out of but not around.

Papeete is the main city of Tahiti and it has almost everything a visitor could want. See the Gauguin Museum, the Pearl Museum (the only museum in the World devoted only to pearls), James Norman Hall Home (resident author), Le Marche (153 year old market) and so much more...
