There are many dive sites around Tahiti
Tahiti is like two islands combined, with a narrowtrack of land joining
the two. Tahiti Nui is the larger and more prominent with a road that
goes right around the island. Tahiti Iti is the smaller and has roads
into and out of but not around.

Tahiti's
Natural Beauty comes from its circle of majestic
peaks, deep sheltered valleys, clear streams and jagged coastline.
The views are stunning. A circle coast tour will show you 72 miles
of dramatic coastal vistas including cliffs carved by powerful waves,
pristine beaches, lush forest and cute, brightly colored churches.
See the gigantic waterfalls as the water cascades off the vibrant
green mountains.

"Because of
the higher number of residents and visitors there is no shortage
of things to do on Tahiti..." |
The rich oasis of
nature awaits the visitor. Scuba diving sights around the island
will suit both the beginner and advanced divers. There are sunken
vessels, coral walls, and plenty of marine life. Non-divers can
swim, snorkel, rent marine craft and go deep-sea fishing.

Papeete is the main
city of Tahiti and it has almost everything a visitor could
want. See the Gauguin Museum, the Pearl Museum (the only museum
in the World devoted only to pearls), James Norman Hall Home (resident
author), Le Marche (153 year old market) and so much more...
Supplied by a dailybounty of fresh fish and
fruits, Tahiti is resplendant with many terrific restaurant choices.
International cuisine blends with Polynesian music while the sun
plays with the ocean as it settles into it. Several of the resorts
often host lively music and dance shows. They are so popular they
must be reserved in advance. |
